Bio
Bermudez is an Arizona native. She
attended the University of Arizona, receiving
two Bachelor of Arts degrees. She then attended the Arizona
State University College of Law. Throughout her life she strives
to be a champion for the accused and underprivileged.
Felisa Bermudez has dedicated her legal career to defending those
accused of DUI and other criminal charges. Bermudez began
her career in DUI and criminal defense in the trenches of public
service. As a City of Tucson Public Defender, Bermudez demonstrated
her natural skill in criminal defense and trial advocacy. With
a massive caseload, Bermudez took the time to meet with each and
every client to discuss each case. Bermudez litigated criminal cases
every day, the bulk of which were DUI. Bermudez quickly excelled
in the complicated area of DUI law, achieving excellent results
for her clients and gaining the respect of her colleagues and the
court. She successfully litigated DUI, Domestic Violence, Theft,
Possession of Drug/Drug Paraphernalia, and other misdemeanor charges.
Bermudez continued her career as a Maricopa County Public Defender
where she was assigned a felony caseload litigating
Aggravated Assault, Forgery, Theft, Drug, Weapons,
Aggravated DUI, and other felony charges. She excelled in
defending those accused of felony offenses. With her DUI
defense background, Bermudez was assigned to
the Vehicular Crimes Unit of the Public Defender’s Office. In
that assignment, Bermudez handled only Aggravated
DUI and Aggravated Assault, very serious and
complicated felony charges. Again,
with a heavy caseload, Bermudez committed herself
to each client and provided meticulous attention
to each case.
As a Public Defender, Bermudez took pride in her dedication to
defending her clients from DUI and other criminal
charges. She
joined private practice where she now practices
throughout Maricopa County. In her private practice, she holds
the same values she formed early in her career
as a public defender: giving to each client her time and attention,
thoroughly investigating every case, closely scrutinizing all information
and evidence, taking the time to conduct meaningful negotiations
with prosecutors, and creating a formidable defense for trial.
